Talk to your Rehabilitation Counselor. You and your counselor are working as partners to solve problems. Ask for a Supervisory Conference. You will meet with the supervisor and your counselor and work cooperatively on a resolution. You can request an Informal Dispute Resolution with an Administrator prior to Mediation/Hearing. You can request Mediation. (Mediation is a voluntary process with a qualified and impartial mediator for both parties to explore options to reach an agreement.) Request an Administrative Hearing (A formal hearing process.) Informal Dispute Resolution with an Administrator prior to Mediation/Hearing: There were no requests for an Informal Dispute Resolution in FY 2021.
Mediation Update: There were no pending Mediation requests carried over from FY 2020. During FY 2021 ORS did receive one new Mediation request. That request was resolved with a written mediation agreement.
Administrative Hearing Update: During FY 2021, there was one Administrative Due Process Hearing requests received. That hearing is pending and scheduled for October 5, 2021.
Civil Action Update: Carried over from FY 2020, two clients who had decisions made against them appealed to Superior Court, however, both civil actions were resolved in the agency’s’ favor.
