Virginia successfully managed her anxiety and depression to transition from a high school student facing panic attacks to a professional crisis counselor. With support from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Virginia received funding for college and graduated with a degree in social work. After graduation, she worked with a job developer who helped her secure a position as a crisis counselor with 988 Wisconsin Lifeline, where she now helps individuals facing their most vulnerable moments.
