Kelsi, a 23-year-old with cerebral palsy, recently earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Ohio University Eastern. Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), supported Kelsi by providing assistive technology, pre-employment transition services, a career assessment, and financial support for college.
With determination and OOD’s assistance, including job supports, accommodations, and vehicle modifications, Kelsi secured a position as a Support Administrator with the Clearwater Council of Governments, an organization in northern Ohio supporting county boards of developmental disabilities. She continues to achieve new goals, recently being appointed by the Governor to serve on the OOD Council. Learn more about Kelsi’s story here.
